The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the Certificate for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. The exam took place on 02, 03, and 04 July 2026, with the application deadline on 03 May 2026.

Application Fee

The application fees for UPTET 2026 are as follows.

For General/ EWS/ OBC: ₹ 1000/-
For SC/ ST: ₹ 500/-
For PH Candidates: ₹ 300/-

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for candidates applying for UPTET 2026 are detailed below.

TET Primary Teacher (Class 1-5): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an NCTE-recognized institution along with a valid teacher training qualification such as BTC, B.El.Ed, or equivalent. Final-year candidates are also eligible. A minimum of 50% marks in graduation or the relevant training program is required.
TET Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6-8): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (or 45% in some cases as per rules) from an NCTE-recognized institution along with a valid teacher training qualification such as B.Ed, BTC, B.El.Ed, or equivalent. Final-year candidates of these courses are also eligible.
